MOVIE OFFICIAL TRAILER: Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball

Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball (2010)

After taking a look at the trailer for “Smokin’ Aces 2: Assassins’ Ball”, you can’t help but agree with Universal: yeah, this is definitely not theatrical worthy stuff here. If anything, it looks like your run-of-the-mill direct-to-DVD action movie, the kind that usually stars Wesley Snipes and shot around the bombed out looking streets of some unnamed Eastern European country. Here’s the first trailer for the Joe Carnahan-produced (but not directed or really written by, disappointingly enough) prequel to his moderate hit “Smokin’ Aces”. It’s called “Assassins’ Ball”, and it’s about bad guys, more bad guys, and even more bad guys trying to kill some guy played by Tom Berenger. Basically, watch it for the exploding bodies and never mind that whole empathy thing.

UNIVERSAL SOLDIER 3: REGENERATION - Official Trailer

VAN DAMME - DOLPH

With so many “Universal Soldier” movies currently floating around out there, it can be a little confusing trying to get a handle on where all the various entries fit into the overall franchise. Just to be clear, John Hyams’ “Universal Soldier: Regeneration” is a direct sequel to Roland Emmerich’s 1992 movie. The film ignores the two “Universal Soldier” direct-to-DVD movies that have come before it, as well as 1999’s theatrical sequel “Universal Soldier: The Return”, which returned (no pun intended) Jean-Claude Van Damme in his original role. In “Regeneration”, Van Damme is once again back as Luc Deveraux, as is fellow original castmember Dolph Lundgren, here once again playing Deveraux’s undead (but very amusing) foil, Andrew Scott.

District 9 Movie Review

Excellent movie was not what I expected. Finally, film Scifi, it is not just a bunch of good special

effects. Behind everything PKSR background and action film that sends you into the dark side of human thought and makes you think about our society, our future, immigration and the value of human life.

It is a good movie to watch with an open mind and have a nice movie after a sociological discussion. To parents: I have seen the worst PG-13 movies than in terms of blood / combat "and" sex ". I hope that the academy recognized a diamond with some Oscars.

Avatar Movie Review

MovieFanatic

Great film with ample symbolism. Old story, new setting with amazing technology to support it. There are numerous "tellings" of this same story, both historical and contemporary from our own world. See what you want, see that it is in conflict with the present civilization, attempt to trade/bargin for what you want, if unsuccessful then take what you want, justify it as the other culture/government being less civilized/human/important than yourselves.

Examples: African slave trade to support economies in the Caribbean and southern US, European colonialization of Africa/India/Asia, expansion of the west (USA and Canada) into aboriginal territories, western occupation in the middle east, fossil fuel extraction from the oil sands at the expense of the environment.
